Slate portals can be embedded in your institution's web pages by inserting HTML code generated by Slate. Before following this guide, make sure that you have a basic familiarity with portals, as well as a basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
Click Database on the Slate navigation bar.
In the Portals section, click Portals.
Select the name of the portal to embed. The portal summary page appears.
On the upper right portion of portal summary the page, click Embed Portal. An Embed Portal popup appears.
From the selection list, select Allow embedding. A text field appears that contains the appropriate HTML code that will be used to embed the portal on the web page.
Select this code, copy it (Ctrl+C) and paste it (Ctrl+V) into the HTML code of the page where it should appear. Be sure to consider the page's existing layout and format.
Click Save.
Note
Portals cannot be embedded within forms or within other portals. Embed portals only on non-Slate-hosted pages, such as your institutional website.
