Slate Voice lets you place calls directly from a record, call list, or anywhere a phone number is available within Slate. Configure a Slate Voice account by associating an existing SMS/Voice number or providing a new phone number.
Important!
Slate Voice is an Early Access Feature and is not yet a default for all provisioned instances of Slate.To enable Slate Voice:
- Select Database on the top navigation bar and select Configuration Keys.
- In the Database Configuration section, select Early Access Features.
- From the list, select Slate Voice.
- Select Save*.
*Changes to configuration keys may take up to 15 minutes to be reflected across all web nodes.
Associate Existing Numbers with Slate Voice
To associate an existing SMS/Voice number with Slate Voice:
- Select Database on the top navigation bar and select Deliver Configuration.
- From the list of accounts, select an existing number to associate. A dialog box appears.
- Select Save.
Add a New Slate Voice Account
To add a new Slate Voice account:
- Select Database on the top navigation bar and select Deliver Configuration.
- Under Accounts, select Add Account.
- From the list, select SMS/Voice.
Note: If an SMS/Voice number already exists, additional numbers may be created at the cost of $1 per month (billed as 100 credits per month) each. - Select Continue.
- Configure your phone number:
- Country: Select your country from the list.
- Contains Digits: Finds phone numbers that include a given sequence of digits. The sequence may appear in any part of the number, including the area code.
- Area Code: Finds numbers within a preferred area code.
- Near ZIP Code: Attempts to locate phone numbers nearby desired 5-digit postal code.
- Select Select.
- In the dialog box, enter 'CONFIRM'.
