If your process calls for the collection and review of data pertaining to activities such as events and travel, you may consider using a Form/Events Notes scoped form. This article will provide a step-by-step process on how to create and assign notes to events, forms, and trips within Slate.
Create a Notes Form
- Click Forms in the top navigation bar.
- Click New Form.
- Enter the following User configurations in the popup window:
- Page Title - The Page Title will display to the student as the title of your form.
- Folder - Keep your forms organized by putting your form in a folder. Select Other to create a new folder.
- Status - Set the Status to Confirmed/Active.
- Click Save.
- Click Edit Form.
- Click Edit Properties and set the scope to Form/Events Notes.
- Click Save.
Assign the Notes Form to an Event, Event Template, or Form
- Click Forms or Events in the top navigation bar.
- Click the form, event, or event template to which the Notes form should be assigned.
- Click Edit Form.
- Click Edit Properties and select the Form/Event Notes-scoped form from the Notes Form select list.
- Click Save.
- Navigate back to the form, event, or event template that the form was assigned to and click Notes.
- The Notes form will now display when clicking on Notes in the top right corner.
Assign the Form to a Trip
- Click Forms or Events in the top navigation bar.
- Click on Trips in the Events drop-down menu.
- Click on the trip you wish to edit.
- Click Edit and select the Form/Event Notes scoped-form via the Notes Form drop-down.
- Click Save.
- Navigate back to the trip that the form was assigned to and click Notes.
- The Notes form will now display when clicking on Notes.
