Upload Instructions

To upload media to your digital portfolio, perform the following steps:

1. Select the Select Files button below. The file selection dialog appears.

2. Choose the desired media file and select Open.

3. Select Start Upload.

Uploading may take anywhere from a few seconds to several hours, depending upon the size of the media file and the connection speed. If the file is large, upload over a wired connection if possible.

Once the file has been received, it will appear under the Your Portfolio tab. The file will be processed and converted into its final form shortly after uploading. Processing may take from several minutes to hours, depending upon the file size. There is no need to remain on this page after the media has been uploaded; processing will occur automatically and independently.

You may re-order the uploaded media files at any time by dragging the thumbnails. Supply the title and media information by selecting Edit Details.

Should you experience difficulties uploading the file, make sure that you're using a modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Safari) on the fastest wired Internet connection available. An intermittent or slow Internet connection may cause uploads to time out.

File Sizes and Types

Slate supports media files as large as 5GB, but note that larger files take longer to upload and the upload may stall over a wireless connection or one that cannot sustain a connection for the necessary amount of time. Uploaded documents may contain no more than 75 pages.
