Create Custom Reader Results

  1. Click Queries / Reports in the top navigation bar.

  2. Click New Query

  3. Enter the following Query configurations in the popup window:

    • Name - The Query MUST be labeled 'Default'.

    • User - Select a user. This setting will default to the current user.

    • Sharing - Check the Sharing check box.

    • Folder - The Query MUST be saved in a folder labeled 'Reader'.

    • Population - Select the Applications population.

  4. Add export columns to your query. Examples:

    • Name

    • Bin

    • Ref

    • Round

    • Region

  5. You may edit any export box and rename that export. Additionally, you may adjust the column width. For example, in the Edit Part Popup:

    • Name - Application Name:275px

Do not add filters to your Default query. Remember that your readers will use filters within the Reader itself to isolate the appropriate records.

Customize Column Headers by Bin

The default columns are Applicant, Bin, Ref, but it may be beneficial to have different column headers for each bin. For example, maybe you want some columns for Readers 1 and 2, but different columns when it comes to committee.

To create a new custom header for a bin, start by creating a new Query with the following configurations:

  1. Click Queries / Reports in the top navigation bar.

  2. Click New Query

  3. Enter the following Query configurations in the popup window:

    • Name - Anything other than the word "Default"

    • User - Select a user. This setting will default to the current user.

    • Sharing - Check the Sharing check box.

    • Folder - The Query MUST be saved in a folder labeled 'Reader'.

    • Population - Applications (or whatever the Query Base is of your Reader)

  4. After the query is built, click Database in the top navigation bar and select Reader Bins.

  5. Select the Bin you wish to customize

  6. Use the Preset bin setting, select the new Query.
