These types of communication methods can be utilized in three primary categories of messages in Slate:
- Transactional - communications associated with a form or event. These types of messages are triggered in relation to an action taken by an end user, such as a form submission or hours before/after an event
- System - automatic emails that are sent when certain actions occur such as: password reset, payment refunded, and recurring credit card payment failure
- Marketing - programmatic, stewardship, and engagement messages
