Article Summary

The campaigns tab of the timeline now displays expected drip marketing mailings for which the person record qualifies. By utilizing the campaigns tab, users will be able to navigate to the message, preview its content, use check logic to see if the record meets the criteria for the mailing, and be presented with an anticipated delivery date. Additionally, the user can filter for upcoming drip marketing mailings by date, as well as population.

Does the person record belong to a particular population for which a drip marketing message has been configured? Is the mailing configured to send in the future?

If yes, the mailing will display on the campaigns tab! Please refer to the note provided below highlighting check logic and its ability to confirm whether the person record will or will not receive the message.

Campaign Tab View

The campaigns tab will now display drip marketing mailings that may be delivered to the person record.

To navigate to the campaigns tab, select a person record and then navigate to the timeline. The campaigns tab will be located in the links on the right hand side.

🔔 Important!

Please note that record data could change, making the person record no longer eligible to receive upcoming mailings (e.g., the mailing could be deactivated, the record could fall out of the population, the record may not meet additional filter criteria, etc.).

Expected Delivery Window and Display Conditions

A campaign mailing may be configured to deliver to a person record under three conditions:

  1. The record is part of a specific population at that moment in time.

  2. The record joined the population on a specified date or within a date range.

  3. The record has been in the specific population for a defined number of days.

So long as the record is in the population and meets the relevant population-related filter criteria for an upcoming mailing, the mailing will display in the campaigns tab. Defined by population filters and configured start and end dates of the Deliver mailing, the anticipated delivery windows will display to the user the following:

Anticipated Delivery Windows

Population Filter

When using a population filter on a Deliver mailing, the record will be expected to receive the mailing on the next upcoming weekday, during the selected delivery window(s), so long as they are part of a specific population at that moment in time.  A mailing with this configuration will persist on the campaigns tab within the person record.

Date Range Filter

When a mailing is configured within Campaigns using Deliver, with a time interval type of date range (filter of 'Population Timestamp'), the record will be expected to receive the mailing on the next upcoming weekday, during the selected delivery window(s), within the specified start and end dates configured on the filter. The expected delivery window takes into account both the start and end dates configured on the filter, as well as the start and end dates configured on the mailing. A mailing with this configuration will persist on the campaigns tab so long as the record is part of the specific population during the respective configured start and end dates.

Number of Days Filter

When a mailing is configured within Campaigns using Deliver, with a time interval type of number of days (filter of 'Population Timestamp Days'), the record will be expected to receive the mailing greater than or equal to the day the record is in the population for the defined number of days, during the selected delivery window(s). A mailing with this configuration will display on the campaigns tab only if the person record is eligible to meet the filter criteria defined by number of days as a reflection of the start and end dates configuration on the mailing.

Check Logic

It is possible that a person record will not receive the campaign mailing for a myriad of reasons. Check logic allows the user to identify such cases by noting the following:

  1. If the record does not currently meet additional filter criteria for items that are not population-related

  2. If the record has received the mailing in a previous run
