Article Summary

When viewing an application in the Reader, the entire Reader Tab Group (with all Reader tabs on the left-side menu) or just the currently viewed Reader tab can be "popped out" into new browser tab. This allows multiple components of an application to be reviewed at the same time in a split screen view.

To pop out a Reader Tab Group or the current Reader Tab:

  1. Select Reader in the top navigation bar.

  2. Open an application.

  3. Locate the three-bar menu in the top-right corner and select one of the following options from the list:

    • Pop Record: Pop the entire Reader Tab Group into a new browser tab.

    • Pop Tab: Pop only currently viewed Reader Tab into a new browser tab.

    • Share: Open the Share Tab of the Reader to begin a Share session.

    • Exit Reader: Return to the Slate database homepage.

  4. Specific applications may also be searched for in the quick search box to the left of the menu.

Tip

To view parts of the application side by side, drag the new tab into a new browser window.

  • Mac - For Macs, hold down the Full Screen button and as the window shrinks, drag it to the left or right side of the screen.

  • Windows - For Windows, hold down the Windows button at the same time as the right or left arrow.
