Compare

Use the Compare link to verify that the records identified are indeed duplicates. The compare view shows standard data as well as custom unique field data for both the Master and Alias records. Data that matches displays with a green background, while data that differs displays with a red background.

Merge

The Merge button will merge the Alias record into the Master record. Do this only if you have confirmed that the two records are duplicates

Exclude

The Exclude button will exclude this potential match from appearing within Consolidate Records going forward. Use this if you have confirmed that the two records are not duplicates.

<> (Reverse)

The Reverse link within the compare view will switch the Master and Alias records, such that the record previously identified as the Alias record will become the Master record. Use this prior to merging the records if you determine that the record identified as the Alias record should instead be the Master record.

Lookup Record

The Lookup Record links within the compare view allow you to quickly navigate to the records identified as potential duplicates so that you can more thoroughly compare the two records.

Filters

Add filters to restrict the list of duplicate records that are displayed. After editing the filters, click the Display button to refresh the list of displayed records.

Refresh

Use the Refresh button to have Slate find potential duplicate records that are new since the last refresh.
